We originally thought of going for more of a contemporary romance novel for this month with Valentine’s Day rolling in, but we were both in the mood for an exciting thriller. We looked up different books we haven’t read yet until my boyfriend suggested we read Forbidden by Ted Dekker and Tosca Lee. I’ve purchased this book for him a while back and he’s been bugging me to read it ever since! Forbidden is set in the post-apocalyptic future. There is nothing wrong with the world now; no one feels anger and there is no war to worry about. Everyone seems normal and at peace. The story revolves around Rom, a man who discovers a deep and dark secret: they are all at peace because they have been stripped of their emotions and of their humanity a long time ago. Meet us on February 26th for our Book of the Month review!
For those romance lovers, don't fret! I will have a romantic theme for the mid-month post on the 15th!
