1. Stand-alone book you love.
My Favorite stand-alone novel would have to be The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. This book has made me laugh and cry so many times. I love the characters and their sense of humor. I just absolutely love everything about this book. If you haven’t read it yet, please do because you will not be disappointed.
2. Dystopian book you love.
This is a difficult one since this is probably my favorite genre. I’m going to have to go with my current favorite and that’s Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I’ve probably mentioned this book a lot and it’s because it really blew my mind. I didn’t think I’d find another series that would blow me away the way The Hunger Games and Divergent did until I read Red Queen.
3. A book that you love but no one else talks about.
I would have to go with A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. This book is set in 1895 and is about a sixteen-year old girl named Gemma who is sent to England to go to a girls’ academy after the death of her mother, from which she had foreseen in a vision. At the academy, she finds more about her mother and herself as she discovers the mysteries behind her visions and a new magical world behind it all.
4. Favorite book couple.
My favorite book couple would have to be Deuce and Fade from the Razorland series by Ann Aguirre. Deuce was raised to be a hunter and has never truly known what love is. Fade and Deuce were brought up so differently and they were so patient with each other through every step of falling in love with one another. They didn’t just fall in love after minutes of knowing each other like what we see in a lot of books or movies. It was gradual and with the perfect pace. This couple felt so true to me and so real.
5. Book that other people love but you haven’t gotten around to reading.
I would have to say the Harry Potter series. I absolutely love the movies and everyone keeps telling me how the books are so much better. It is definitely on my TBR list.
6. A book with red on the cover.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
7. A book with pink on the cover.
White Trash Beautiful by Teresa Mummert
8. You were given a box of chocolates. What fictional boyfriend would have given them to you?
If Patch from Hush Hush gave me a box of chocolates, I would melt. I’ve called dibs ever since I read this book way back in high school. Patch is the bad boy with a sweet side. He’s a fallen angel and he is so swoon worthy.
9. You are single on Valentine’s Day. What book would you read? What TV show would you watch? What movie would you watch?
I would read a Nora Roberts book but if I had to pick one, I would probably re-read Dark Witch from The Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy. I would watch either Greek or Gilmore Girls and for a movie, I would most-likely watch My Sassy Girl.
10. You are in the book store. All of a sudden you get shot with an arrow by Cupid. What new release will you love?
I would be drawn to Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. What am I saying? I’m already drawn to that book! I could go to the store right now and buy that book if I wasn’t working like crazy in the next 2 weeks. I hear so many good things about this book and I can’t wait to read it in the hopefully near future.
Happy belated Valentine's Day!
