How I'm feeling: Loving life!
So I just finished watching Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and I’m feeling super nostalgic. I can’t believe the show is officially over, well again! I was so glad that they were going to make a reunion of some sort. I spent months re-watching all 7 seasons before the release of the new mini-series and it was most-likely the cause of a lot of reading slumps but I felt it was worth it. I originally meant to do an all-nighter and watch all four episodes at 12:01 yesterday but I guess my body had other plans. I used to be able to do all-nighters no problem but I guess since I’m so used to going to bed relatively early now, I found it pretty difficult. That’s okay though because in the end, I was able to pace myself and watch two episodes yesterday and two today. Now that it’s done though, I have no idea what to do. I felt like I related to it so much since I have a similar friendship with my own mother and grandmother.
Now I’m on a bit of a hunt and I might need your help. I’d love to try and find a book that would be perfect to read right after finishing such a wonderful show. What are some books that would be great for a Gilmore Girls fan? I was thinking of maybe looking into reading My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick which sounds like it could be about family, romance and friendship but I’m not sure yet. What do you guys think; any suggestions?
P.S. I heard that they are going to be releasing Gilmore Girls Pop Funko Figures! I can’t wait to add them on my book shelf!
Melanie.
