A character’s appearance you misread or imagined differently
Jace Wayland in City of Bones. His portrayal in the movie wasn’t like how I pictured him in the book at all. In the TV series however, he is really close to how I pictured him.
I think it’s because I’ve never really heard the name out loud before but while reading the whole Divergent trilogy, I’ve been pronouncing Tobias’s name wrong. I’ve been pronouncing it Toh-bee-us instead of Tuh-buy-us.
I would probably get annoyed of it if it was all I read but I do like light reads that incorporate Insta-Love / Love at first sight. I do like books where the romance is gradual but sometimes, especially in the summer, I like books that have that instant and everlasting romance.
The drama queens. I don’t mind watching movies that have these types of characters but when I’m reading through the point of view of one, I get so tired feeling like I’m being caught up in all of the drama.
A word/phrase you learned because of its use in a book
“Anyone can betray anyone” from Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I saw it a lot now especially when I’m watching Game of Thrones or movies/books that contain a lot of betrayal.
I’ve always had trouble reading books when it was required for school. I’m an avid reader but when it’s expected of me to read something within a specific timeline, it makes it seem like a chore and it’s no longer fun. You all know by now that I haven’t read Harry Potter yet but it was actually required for me to read during my first year at University. It was a young adult literature class and it was really cool but because I had so much going on and I wasn’t in the right mood to be reading Harry Potter, I just lost interest. It’s safe to say that I regret not reading it.
I have wanted to. The A House of Night Series just kept going and added more and more POVs. I remember personally just wanting to find out what was happening with certain characters and then just trying to get through the POVs from people I didn’t really care about.
I’ll be honest and say that I don’t remember if I did or not. Usually when I’m really into a book, I don’t make other plans or if I do have different plans throughout the day, I carry the book with me to read in between. I might be wrong though as it does sound like something I would have done.
