Happy New Year, my fellow book lovers!

Book of the Month!
For January, we've decided to go for a YA Fantasy novel. We chose Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes. I've heard nothing but good reviews on the Falling Kingdoms series and with the recent release of its fourth book, Frozen Tides, I've got some catching up to do! B also thought it would be fun to change it up and jump into a fantasy novel this month as we've already dived into a YA thriller, a Sci Fi novel and a Christmas romance novel. Falling Kingdoms is said to involve three separate kingdoms that try to grasp for power however the cost and the change that occurs. There should be betrayal, fights, adventure and it sounds like it's going to be quite a read. It follows four people: Cleo, Jonas, Lucia and Magnus as their journey begins. Meet us on January 29th for our Book of the Month review and let us know what you think! If you feel like this book sounds amazing, join us on the fun and choose it as your book of the month too! We would love to hear your thoughts.
Book Subscription Box Cancellation
Since I've had to cut back lately on my spending, I've decided to cancel my subscription to Uppercase Box. It was not because I didn't like it because I very much did enjoy my subscription, I regretfully couldn't afford it. I might go back to it sometime in the future. It's difficult because I don't think there's a YA book subscription box here in Canada, the ones in the United States, such as Uppercase Box, sound absolutely amazing but the shipping is double the price. It makes me sad to see this subscription go but it's alright. There will be, however, an Uppercase Box Unboxing soon as I have yet to receive the December one. It shipped out on the 15th of December but with Christmas and all, it's arriving here a little late. I'll be looking forward to getting it soon!
New Year's Resolution!
Since I have to say goodbye to my Uppercase Box subscription, I've decided to take on a New Year's Resolution that will challenge me and be included here on my book blog. I found this wonderful 2016 Reading Challenge. I did not create this challenge as I found it on Pinterest and thought it would be a fun way to embrace different styles of books. Who knows, maybe I'll end up finding a new love for another type of book? I'm going to be starting this challenge as of now and I will be trying to fill it up as much as possible and hopefully complete it by 2017. I will be posting my accomplishments as I go monthly-wise and I encourage anyone to join me if you feel like this would be a fun, book-related way to embrace the New Year.
