This month’s winning genre is Historical Fiction! After mentioning our individual suggestions, we’ve all agreed to pick Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly as our book of the month. Andi Alpers goes to a private school in Brooklyn. She’s been grieving the loss of her brother and furious with her father for walking out on them. Feeling like her world is crashing down and with her grades dropping even further, her father makes a sudden appearance to take her to Paris over the break. In Paris, she finds Alexandrine’s diary. Two centuries ago, Alexandrine Paradis had her own share of issues involving a fading dream of making it on stage and a prince. Two worlds collide in this poignant work of art and they might not be as different as they seem. We're all looking forward to reading this one and if you'd like to join in on the conversation, I'll be posting my review on the 26th of this month!
