Anyways, back to today's post: my first Uppercase Box is here!
So this is what I saw after opening the package:
Opening the bag, I found Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin. While I waited for this delivery, I tried to guess what new release it could possibly be and this was one I've never heard of. With the book, I found a poster of the book cover, a cute little Wolf by Wolf pin, a cute keychain that says "Certified Book Addict" and a signed bookplate from the author. I even got a hand written note by Lisa, who is in charge of Uppercase Box, briefly telling me a bit about the book.
What's funny about this choice is I was actually looking into reading The Walled City by Ryan Graudin and now I get to see her writing style through this one before jumping into her other novel. What's also funny is that lately my boyfriend has been into historical fiction and conspiracy theories so when I opened my Uppercase Box, he was just as excited as I was to read this book.
Wolf by Wolf is set in the year 1956 in a world where The Axis Powers actually won in World War II. They have this event every year where the winner gets to meet Hitler at the Victor's Ball. The event is a motorcycle race. Yael has one mission to do. She has to win the race and she has to be the one to kill Hitler. The book I got also had these little notes marked in certain pages telling me to go to their site and enter a code. I'm not too sure what will be shown as of yet but I will let you know what kind of things I will find when I review this book. It sounds like this novel is going to have a lot going on and I am very excited to dive right into it. Hopefully, I'll be able to read it before my boyfriend steals it from me!
I was definitely pleased with my Uppercase Box and I can't wait for next month's read!
Adieu!
