I’m so excited to announce that this month, we will have Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs as our Book of the Month! We’ve all been so excited to see the movie when it comes out on September 30th and when we realized that it was an unread book we all had in common, we felt like it was such a perfect idea! To add to the perfectness of this, the day of its movie release falls on the last Friday of this month so not only will we have a book review to give you guys, but we will also be adding a bit of a book/movie comparison! I will admit that when I first saw the cover of this book, it seemed a bit creepy and I’ve never been too good with creepy but it seems to be another case of not judging a book by its cover because I hear such amazing things about it. I can’t wait for September 30th! Oh and don’t worry. We won’t be spoiling anything about the movie. We’re probably just going to say if we liked it or if we thought it gave the book justice. It would be the first day of its release and I don’t want to ruin it for anyone.
I’m going to be starting a new segment soon. I feel like I’ve been doing pretty well on my blog deadlines when it comes to the monthly announcement or book club but I also feel like I should add something weekly. With something weekly, it will push me to post more and that’s what I want to do. It’s almost been a year that I’ve created this blog and I’ve grown tired of only doing book tags and reviews. It’s starting to feel a bit robotic and so I came up with a great idea for a segment. Once I have everything figured out, I will be posting Monday Book Chat. It will give me a chance to be more personal with you guys while writing in sort of like a diary format. I will discuss about my thoughts that week about books I’m thinking of buying, books I’m unsure of, and other things book related. Mostly, it’ll be a place where I can just talk to you guys. Drink coffee and chat.
Let me know if you guys think it’s a good idea!
