What I'm listening to: Good To You by Marianas Trench ft. Jessica Lee
Drink of the day: A Strawberry and Cherry Smoothie
How I'm feeling: In a pretty good mood
There’s only a few more days left until Halloween! Depending if I’m working or not, I’m going to see if I can join my father while him and his fiancée take my youngest brother out trick-or-treating. I’m not sure what he decided to dress up as but I’m pretty excited to see what he chose. Being the book nerd that I am, I looked adoringly onto my bookshelves and noticed a round pin colored in gold; thus giving me the brilliant idea of being Katniss Everdeen. It’s probably a really popular character on days like this after the movie franchise became such a huge hit but I love her style with all of the earthy tones and I own the perfect jacket. Now, I only need to find a toy bow and arrow to really complete the look.
There were so many things that I was looking forward to this year like go to the pumpkin patch or paint small pumpkins so that they would look like giant candy corn. I guess with work being so hectic lately, it kind of went over my head. I’m not going to let that bring me down though. I haven’t been to the movies in a while so instead of staying in, we’re going to the late viewing of Inferno at the movies and I’ll probably spend the next few days watching Halloweentown 1-4 and reading a few books. I’m actually going to be participating in a blog book tour next Saturday on the 5th! I will be reviewing Hunters by Aoife Marie Sheridan. This book sounds like it’ll be the perfect read for this weekend and I'm really excited to dive right in.
Are you guys dressing up for Halloween this year? What costume will it be and will you be reading anything specific for All Hallows’ Eve?
Melanie.
