The YA book that I found in the bag was Not If I See You First by Eric Lindstrom. Similar to last time, I got a signed bookplate by the author and a hand written note written by Lisa. I got this absolutely gorgeous wooden bookmark decorated with cherry blossoms and a 2016 calendar filled with YA novel quotes. I thought the calendar idea was a great one. I can't think of a better calendar for us book lovers. It contains quotes from many of our favorites such as Throne of Glass by Sarah K. Maas, J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone and Divergent by Veronica Roth.
When I read the summary of this book, the first thing I thought about was a friend back when I went to High School and how she kept saying she would love to one day write a book with the first person point of view of someone who cannot see. I would love to send her this book since it's about this girl named Parker Grant who, being visually impaired, created rules in order to be treated just like everyone else. With the loss of her father 3 months prior and the return of Scott, the boy who broke her heart, her past won't seem to leave her alone. The book sounds to be really interesting and I'm looking forward in reading this one and the book cover looks great. I think the braille is a wonderful touch. I can't wait to see the kind of writing style he decided to use. I will have to let you know what I think of it when I come around to reviewing it!
It's too bad that I had to cancel my subscription. I just know that I'm going to be jealous of what the others receive in the next Uppercase Box! Let me know what you thought of both Uppercase Boxes that I've received. Would it be something you would be interested in subscribing? Also, what do you think of this Ya novel?
